I found myself mesmerized by a cherry blossom tree under the blue skies of April. The tree was emitting powerful waves of life, perfect just by its own existence. I felt overwhelmed by peace and a sense of fulfilment as time and worries of daily life lost their hold on me.
Deer
My family comes from a place called Mazatenango in Guatemala which means “land of the deer” therefore I’ve always felt a connection with it. In my mind the deer is a deeply magical, mystical and playful creature. I think my painting complement’s my wife’s cheetah’s energy.

四月の青空に咲く桜の木に、私は魅了された。
そこに立つ木は、生命の息吹を強く放つ。
ただ存在することが、完璧なのだろう。
その傍らに立つ私は、日常の騒がしさを忘れ、満たされる。
時の流れを忘れ、ただ、桜と私とが存在する。
静かな空気が、私たちを包む。
そして、私は、この瞬間を、永遠に刻み込みたいと思った。

私の家族はグアテマラのマサテナンゴという場所出身で、そこは「鹿の国」という意味を持つため、私は常に鹿と強いつながりを感じてきました。
私の心にとって、鹿は魔法的で神秘的かつ遊び心のある生き物です。
私は、私の絵画が妻のチーターの絵画のエネルギーを相補すると考えています。
